A organização escolar: um perfil de liderança para o século XXI. Contributos dos liderados

Abstract

O objeto deste estudo inscreve-se na problemática das Organizações, que tem sido alvo de inúmeros trabalhos no campo da investigação e movimentado o mundo empresarial no sentido do aumento da produtividade e da qualidade dos serviços prestados. Também a Escola começa a sentir maiores pressões no sentido de aumentar a qualidade do serviço prestado, tornando-se necessário refletir sobre a problemática da organização escolar e, por consequência, na sua liderança pela importância que assume como eixo fundamental da mesma que, embora se encontre balizado pela produção normativa, não tem sido objeto de aprofundados estudos e reflexão. Com este Estudo de Caso, que denominamos “A Organização Escolar: Um perfil de liderança para o século XXI - Contributos dos liderados”, pretendemos demonstrar que a liderança é um fator determinante para uma escola de sucesso. Tentámos através do nosso estudo detetar, analisar e compreender as características fundamentais de uma liderança que é vista como pretendendo a mudança organizacional. Para tal começámos por analisar a Administração e Gestão das Organizações Educativas e as suas transformações legislativas e organizativas nas últimas décadas, após o que procedemos à revisão da literatura sobre a evolução do conceito de liderança para compreensão do seu uso e significados e as transformações das Organizações com base nas teorias da administração tentando enquadrar o conceito de liderança no paradigma atual e construir o pilar teórico do nosso estudo. No nosso Estudo de Caso aplicámos um inquérito por questionário à amostra que selecionámos e analisámos documentos oficiais da Organização Educativa em causa. Apresentámos, analisámos e discutimos, depois, os dados obtidos tendo como referencial o quadro teórico apresentado. Construímos, por fim, uma matriz do perfil do líder estudado, com as suas VI principais características, que poderá servir para futuras análises do funcionamento de outras Organizações Educativas.

The object of this study is part of the problem of Organizations, which has been the subject of numerous studies in the field of research and the business world moved towards increased productivity and quality of services provided. School also starts to feel more pressure to increase the quality of service, making it necessary to reflect on the problem of school organization and therefore its leadership in the important it is the same as the linchpin that while find buoyed by production rules, has been the subject of extensive study and reflection. With this case study, which we call "The School Organization: A profile of leadership for the twenty-first century - Contributions of the followers," we intend to demonstrate that leadership is a determining factor for a successful school. We have tried through our study detect, analyze and understand the fundamental characteristics of a leadership that is seen as seeking to organizational change. To do this we started to analyze the management and administration of educational organizations and their legislative and organizational changes in recent decades, after which we proceed to review the literature on the evolution of the concept of leadership for their use and understanding of the changing meanings and Organizations based on the theories of management trying to frame the concept of leadership in the current paradigm and build the cornerstone of our theoretical study. In our case study we applied a questionnaire to the sample we selected and analyzed official documents of the educational organization concerned. Presented, analyzed and discussed, then the data obtained using as reference the theoretical framework presented. We build, finally, a matrix of a leader should be studied, with their main characteristics, which may serve for future analysis of the functioning of other educational organizations.
