A relação escola-família como potenciadora do sucesso educativo

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio, realizado no âmbito do Mestrado de Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, apresenta um trabalho investigativo envolvendo duas instituições direcionadas à Educação Pré-Escolar ao 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, situadas no distrito do Porto. Neste estudo participaram trinta e sete Encarregados de Educação e as três educadoras do contexto da Educação Pré-Escolar. No que concerne ao 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico os intervenientes foram onze docentes e dez Encarregados de Educação. A temática da relação escola-família tem sido o enfoque de vários investigadores, mostrando-se que esta relação traz benefícios para o desenvolvimento da criança. Assim, nos dois contextos de ensino supervisionado tentou-se perceber de que forma é visto, pelos agentes educativos, os benefícios do envolvimento/participação das famílias para o desenvolvimento da criança. Optou-se então por uma metodologia de natureza quantitativa e qualitativa, aplicando-se inquéritos por questionário realizados aos Encarregados de Educação e aos professores do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e efetuando-se entrevistas às educadoras e ao professor cooperante do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, assim como registos de atividades e análise documental dos documentos de regime de autonomia, administração e gestão das instituições. Assim sendo, através dos resultados obtidos foi possível constatar que há conexão entre a componente teórica e a componente prática da investigação, na qual se verifica que todos os agentes educativos valorizam a relação que é estabelecida entre as famílias e as instituições e que existe entre os profissionais de educação e os Encarregados de Educação, uma perceção de que o envolvimento/participação da família potencia o sucesso educativo da criança

This internship report, conducted within the Pre-School and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education Master Degree, presents a research work involving two institutions aimed at pre-school to the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, located in the Oporto district. In this study participated thirty-seven Parents and the three teachers of the Pre-School Education context. In what concerns to the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, the interveners were eleven teachers and ten Parents. The issue of school-family relationship has been the focus of many researchers, showing that this relationship brings benefits to the child's development. Therefore, in both supervised teaching contexts has been attempted to understand how it is seen by the educators, the benefits of participation / involvement of families in the development of the child. It was then decided by a method of quantitative and qualitative nature, applying questionnaire surveys conducted to parents and teachers of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and making interviews with teachers and with the cooperative teacher of the 1st Cycle of Basic, as well as activity records and documentary analysis of the autonomy regime, administration and management of the institutions documents. Therefore, through the results obtained it was found that there is a connection between the theoretical and the practical components of the research, which verifies that all education agents value the relationship that is established between the families and the institutions and that exists between the education professionals and the Parents, a perception that the family involvement / participation enhances the child's educational success.
